Beautiful Dachshund needs a loving home (Nassau County) New York Our boy just turned 5 on January 12th. He is absolutely the most adorable dachshund and loving dog. He is a standard sized dachsund (22 lbs) and his coloring is beautiful as well. One of the best looking dachshunds you’ll ever see. He’s also great with kids (our toddler) and all people. Unfortunately, dachshunds have back problems and 2 months ago he had to have back surgery ($7,000) which has financially drained us. We are unable to work with him doing physical therapy in and outsid eof the bathtub or give him the attention and time that he needs in order to begin walking again. The vet says he has gotten more feeling in his back legs and it looks hopeful that he will walk again, but we just simply don’t have the time to put into him to get him back to normal. We are a working family with a toddler in the home and two other dachshunds (the mother and the sister). We have his mother and his sister, his dad passed away two years ago and he has a brother and a sister in NC with my uncle. He is the cutest little dog and he just really needs someone to give him the attention and love he craves. I know there is someone out there who is a pet lover who will give him a home and work with him to get him walking again. We just simply can’t do it. Please contact me at (516) 547-5261. He is our boy and we would love to find a great home for him.
